Create an Early Obituary What do you want to be remembered for? What are you proudest of? What challenges have you overcome? What would surprise people about your life? What early facts about you might your survivors not know?      You can tell the story of your life by creating an early obituary. You will say what you want to celebrate about your life and preserve the memories, loves and triumphs you choose. You will relieve your survivors of the burden of writing an obituary at a time when they are grieving and coping with other tasks.             Will your survivors, whether they are your family or friends , know where you went to school , what your early ambitions were, what activities you excelled at , what choices you made and why ?  Did you want to become an astronaut but chose teaching instead? Who inspired you? What makes you unique?     Together we will create a picture of your life for your family, friends and colleagues to read and treasure. We will make sure your favorite memories and achievements are preserved. We will give  the people who know you now an opportunity to tell what they  treasure about you. We will ensure that the facts about your life are complete and accurate.     You will complete a detailed questionnaire about your life, followed by an interview to complete the picture. I will interview the friends, family and colleagues closest to you. I will use that information to create a loving and accurate obituary for you to keep and update whenever you choose.       During my 30 year career as an attorney  I saw how difficult it was for many families to capture the life of a beloved person who passed away during a time of grief and turmoil. Many newspapers keep a file of obituaries for use if a famous person dies. Why not do so for the rest of us?     I am an experienced and skilled writer. I retired from law several years ago and missed writing so much that I began creating obituaries, wedding toasts , vacation house descriptions and great letters for my friends and family. When people I’d never met began asking for help, I realized that these services are valued and needed by many.     My base rate is $300 for a complete obituary.
